Haven't posted in a while because I have been busy working with my editors on the finishing touches for Dragon Metal Book 3, coming out in the summer of 2024! The unnecessarily long title is "Jestin Kase and the Secrets of Chaos Metal"
Here's the summary (unedited):

Dragon Metal continues as Jestin tries to stop one of the Three Great Schools of Magic from unleashing a magical superweapon. One problem: he doesn’t have any idea what the weapon is, and to find out, he has to fight his way through an island filled with mind-bending traps, evil scientists, and necromantic priests.
Oh, and Emma’s involved. Remember Emma? The “friend” that betrayed Jestin? Twice? Yeah, she’s back. And so is her chain-wielding, psychopathic sidekick with a dumb name: Malachite. Only this time, Malachite has a power-up -- something tied to a magic called Chaos Metal. Will the secrets of Chaos Metal be too much for Jestin to handle? (Spoiler: Yes).
No, this isn’t a dystopian future. It’s our world, a world where mankind has lost the battle for its soul without knowing.
And in this world, there are no chosen ones.
No special destinies.
Only Metal.

Hope that sounds somewhat interesting (although as I am reading it again...I'm not sure I like it and may end up changing it).
As for random stuff I'm doing...
What I am writing: Dragon Metal Book 4!!!!
What I am reading: Myths from Mesopotamia by Stephanie Dalley to brush up on some of my background research for...Dragon Metal Book 4!!!! Book 4 gets heavy into the mythology/history of the ongoing story.
What I am watching: Watched the live-action One Piece, fully expected it to suck, but it was AMAZING and I've actually started watching the anime...which will take about 20 years to catch up with.
What I am gaming: Baldur's Gate 3 (trying to romance Shadowheart AND Astarion).
How are my cats: Puck was really hanging by a thread but has turned around with a lot of drugs and vet visits. He is still sickly but able to enjoy himself again, and he is getting along fine with the other cat, Max (who is planning on suing me for using his likeness rights for Growly McHissy-Face).
