Dragon Metal News for March! I will try to make this quick. I want to get back to playing Resident Evil Requiem (thoughts below). First…
Dragon Metal Newsy things:
I am three chapters into writing the first draft of Book 5! Book 4 is still planned for November of this year; my copy editor starts her review in April. I will drop the first line (as of now) of Book 5 here even though Book 4 isn’t even out yet. Here it is: “Jestin stacked little pretzels on top of each other to make a little pretzel man.”
My illustrator is working on the new cover for Book 3! I’ll give you a sneak peak later, for now, just use your Ultra HD 4K Imagination.
Check out the new “Art” section on my website, www.dragon-metal.com. It is called…Art. To avoid confusion.
I will probably post various vignettes and teasers leading up to Book 4, so you keep your eyes open on the Hidden Track at www.dragon-metal.com/blog and my substack at thejmichaelwhite.substack.com/. Same stuff goes in both places.
Here is a spoiler without context for Book 4:

What does it mean? And why am I hungry for a waffle breakfast?
Anywho, on to the part no one reads: Other Stuff - More Stuff!
What I’ve been up to: Moving crap around the house. A book case fell on top of me during the process, so that was fun. I just laid there for a sec, with the shelf on top of me, while my cat Max stared…
What I’m reading: Comics!!!! Too many good comics!!!! Darn you, publishers, stop printing quality stories!
DC KO is winding down. I’m not enjoying it as much; I feel like there’s so much focus on what follows DC KO (Next Level and Vertigo), that the hype has shifted away from DC KO. Still, excited for Next Level and Vertigo, especially Batwoman and the Ezra Cain series.
These are the omnis I am reading:
Wonder Woman by John Byrne. Just started it, fun so far. This is the first pre-New 52 Wonder Woman arc I have read. It intros Cassie! Pleasant surprise.
Avengers by Johns and Coipel Omnibus. Just started it. It is…okay, so far. I am a big fan of Johns, though, so I am sure it will pick up. Is Operation Galactic Storm in an omni? I suppose I could ask Google. Too much effort, though, I’d have to click away from this window and…ugh…I am exhausted just thinking about it.
What I’m watching: Two things here.
Knight of the Seven Kingdoms was INCREDIBLE! Dunc and Egg’s dynamic is great, and they better not recast Egg at any point; let him grow along with the character for future seasons. It’s a small-scale, character driven story, not a big epic like the main Game of Thrones series or House of the Dragon, and it works out so well.
Gavan Infinity! So, as I am sure you know, Sentai is cancelled for now and Project Red is taking its place, with Gavan Infinity! I’ve watched the first two episodes so far. Nothing ground breaking, but it’s fun, very Metal Heroes, great designs, lots of eye candy.
I’ve started my figure collection for this, because I am a responsible adult.
Yes, I will share pictures once I have them.
Yes, I realize no one asked.
What I’m gaming: Resident Evil Requiem! I don’t know that I have much to add to what has already been said. The game blends survival horror and action horror depending on which character you are playing, and is challenging, but not so impossible you can’t enjoy it. I’m only about 25% through, but so far, I am enjoying it as much as Resident Evil 4 Remake, if not a bit more. This Resident Evil has some neat crafting and gathering mechanics I wasn’t expecting, which my ADHD brain likes, lots of distractions.
I’m gonna go play now.
You are welcome for these in-depth, critical thoughts that have made your life more complete and your morning/evening more enjoyable.
End blog.
