September Proof of Life

A proof-of-life update! Sorry I haven’t been posting much. I’ve been busy procrastinating with comic books, video games, and now Warhammer 40K, apparently (more on that later).  

Let’s get right into it:

• Check out the “Art” section of the Dragon Metal website for new images! 

• I am writing away at Book 5 (ha ha just kidding, no progress)

• Dragon Metal Book 4: Jestin Kase and the Demons of Dark Metal, is going through interior formatting/design now. Preorders will be up in a couple months or so, for a June 2027 release date. 

• Substack: I have no desire to continue posting on Substack, so I am going to let that die. Follow me here and on Insta that is the best I can do. Ugh to social media. Ugh to branding. Ugh in general.

Warhammer 40K: I have fallen into the Warhammer 40K rabbit hole. How have I lived this long and just NOW gotten into Warhammer. So. Much. Lore. If you have never gotten into Warhammer and want to learn more about it, I recommend @ArbitorIan on Youtube for a crap ton of explainer videos. For books, start with the Eisenhorn Trilogy and then Ravenor. For videogames, Space Marines 2 and Rogue Trader (Rogue Trader is like Baldur’s Gate 3 but Warhammer, with less fancy cut scenes and such). 

I am super excited about the Dark Heresy, Total War Warhammer 40K and Dawn of War 4 games coming out. BUT I will NOT get into the miniatures, as that will suck up even more time and money, and I would probably buy them and never paint them.

Mandatory cat update: Sharp tone shift here. Max still has cancer but is doing “okay.” Still eats and drinks, cuddles and lounges, alert and moving around. Can’t groom himself that well and doesn’t play anymore. Sometimes I think he will make it through the year, sometimes I think it will be any day now. Will keep you posted. 

Silo on Apple TV: Season 3 starts slow as well and I almost gave up on it but I am glad I didn’t.  

Comics: Still wasting way too much time with comic books. Did you know Tom taylor is Australian? I saw him interviewed on Near Mint Condition and he is totally Australian.

Batman Knightfall Part 1: watching it now as I am writing this, Bane just crushed someone’s head so I’ve gotta go.
