Dragon Metal update time!

I am still working my way through content edits to Book 4. Copy edit after that. Then proof reading. Good times. 

I’ve updated my schedule and am hoping to have a release on Black Friday, November 2026! I’ll be pushing out a “branding update” in the meantime (I hate myself for using those words). Updated covers, updated web stuff, short stories, lore drops, etc.

So…yeah, Dragon Metal Book 4: Demons of Dark Metal is taking forever to finish. Sorry about that.

What I’m reading: Too many comic books! Mostly independent titles. 

I recently discovered Powers by Brian Michael Bendis and devoured the first seven volumes. Cops solving crimes in a world of superheroes. Fun crime stuff. And there is a sequel series, Powers 25, that recently launched; Bendis says it is a good hopping-on point if you don’t want to read the original run (although you should, because it is awesome). 

Apparently, they made a Powers TV series based on the comic book in 2015? It received mixed reviews, so I am scared to watch it. I will keep you posted. 

What I’m gaming: Star Wars Battlefront 2, still, until these bangers come out later this month…

Double Dragon Revive! Do you remember the classic Double Dragon sidescrollers? The original trilogy is free on Epic Game store for mobile, at the moment, and the new game comes out later this month. I am so excited! It is a modern side-scroller with modern visuals and modern combat. Like the old games. But modern. Modernized for modern audiences. Modern, modern, modern. 

Also, Ninja Gaiden 4! More Ninja Gaiden! Hack, slash, leap, jump, swan, jutsu! Not sure how I feel about the new character, Yakumo. I’d rather play as Ryu the whole time. Still, excited. 

And last but not least, Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines 2! Second Bloodlines! I’ll be honest, this game does not look great in terms of movement and combat but I’m hoping for a good story; the story is the best part of this universe. I will keep my expectations low to avoid disappointment. 

What I’m watching: I cannot, for the life of me, focus on watching anything at the moment. Not a new show. Not an old comfort show. There is too. Much. Content. 

Everywhere. 

This weekend, I am going to try to watch the Invincible cartoon on Prime, since I am in a comic book/superhero mood, it seems. We’ll see how that works. I saw the first season when it came out but haven’t seen Season 2 or 3. No spoilers!

What I'm drinking: Pumpkin Spice, still! So much of it! Too much, even! And yes, you will have to put up with hearing about this until January. 

Why has no one written a Kamen Rider Pumpkin Spice fanfiction yet? Come on, it writes itself. Think of the fun! The puns!
