Dragon Metal update time!

I am furiously working my way through content edits to Dragon Metal Book 4, the Demons of Dark Metal! This is the craziest book in the series so far, and it is taking oodles of time. Oodles! Should be done in time for a release in the second half of 2026. In the meantime, I’ll be posting stuff here, to the Hidden Track (Lore Drops! Character Bios! Playlists! Short Stories and Vignettes! Yay for content!).

In other news, I’m working with a new illustrator, @kajuart on Instagram. She is drawing her first illustration now, a picture of Jestin, and I am psyched for it.

Here is a glimpse of her rough sketch in progress:

I’ll be using her amazing work to give Dragon Metal a visual refresh in the coming months.

What I’m reading: Empire of the Vampire by Jay Kristoff.

It took a bit for me to get used to the writing style (90% of the story is basically one long quote).

And I suck at pronouncing French names -- lots of those in this book. Seriously, the French language, I don’t get it. Half the letters are silent and the other half make noises completely different from how they’re written. How is "Francois" pronounced “Fran-SWAH???”

BUT, great story. The first and second book are out, and the third comes out later this year. Perfect for fans of Seraph of the End.

What I’m gaming: Star Wars Battlefront 2.

I never really played when it first came out back in…I don’t know, however long ago, I don’t care enough to Google it. But I’ve been playing pretty consistently since May.

I am not good by any means, but I am not terrible.

Random thought: I don’t think they should make a Battlefront 3. They should make an expanded edition of Battlefront 2. It’s still a great looking game; just needs updated with some new maps and characters, and upgraded for PS5.

Give us a DLC with Ashoka and Andor and the crew from Rebels! And the Bad Batch! And…the Inquisitors, so many Inquisitors!

What I’m watching: Not watching yet, BUT, the new Kamen Rider season, Kamen Rider ZEZTZ, will be streaming on Tokushoutsu’s Youtube channel weekly!

If you are a fan of tokusatsu, support this official release by watching, even if you just have it on in the background while you’re working or whatever.

I know pretty much all of Toku is available online at this point, but I want OFFICIAL releases of every show. That will only happen if we support the official stuff as much as possible.
